The Alliance Church International Cemetery

Fantastic! Beautiful murals and stately setting. A local archaeologist brought me and my friends on a tour here.

I was with the artist who painted the mural, but only for a very short time. It is very inspirational. As is those who are buried there. Great Christian history.

I love this spot in south Jerusalem. It is a lovely Protestant cemetery with the entire biblical story - from Genesis to Revelation - painted on the surrounding walls. It is also the burial place of Derek Prince.

It was not a planned visit; I was simply transferring between hotels. But an open gate revealed a scene of calm and reflection, and I had to check it out. There were gravestones under stately trees, a back wall painted with the great stories of the Bible, and three "keepers" who were ready to chat with passers-by, who knew the significance of the historic persons buried there and could tell the stories of the murals being painted on the wall. It was one of those surprise discoveries that the walking tourist makes, and a restful pause in my trajectory to my new lodging.
