Golden Gate Hostel

I have stayed at The Golden Gate twice, and am going back in April 2023 for a third stay, inshallah. It is clean, quiet, comfortable, and the location (45 seconds from the souk and the Gate) cannot be better! It is not glamerous, but the beds are comfortable, the sheets are clean, there is lots of hot water, and the communal kitchen is tidy. For what it offers, it is a 4-star hotel. I am 60+ and travel light, and always find the Golden Gate a safe and comfortable place. And I love taking my breakfast or morning coffee out on the small deck area overlooking the street. :) Best of all, the owners are polite, friendly, patient... and provide a hearty breakfast

Needless to say that the treatment was more than worthy of the 5 stars!!! Adam my man will take care of you in a matter of seconds!! Holla man, mad luv!!!! Great place!!!

the golden gate hostel is definitely open. i just spoke with the one of the owner-managers, lutfy. i've stayed at the hostel numerous times and always was satisfied. travel to palestine is generally safe, despite what you might read in the news. i have been there about 15 times since 2003, usually when in jerusalem residing at the golden gate hostel.
