Let's start with the mixed part of Cozy Garden. This is definitely not for everyone. Imagine staying with strangers at the house of a stranger and sharing a bathroom (like a hostel) with other guests. The house is well lived in with a mixed cluttered/art museum quality. Now the good stuff. Value for location, this is an amazing place and perfect for what I was looking for. The host is very inviting and explained everything upon arrival. We did not use the kitchen except to make a hot drink but it is well outfitted. The room was large with a TV, air conditioner, and fan. Plenty of lights. A popular attraction in the facility is the garden balcony/terrace which is accessible via a narrow staircase. The roof is cluttered with plants and old lawn furniture with a lived in feel. Charming and rustic at the same time. There is a breathtaking view of the old city from Mt. Zion, Church of the Dormition abbey, and Mt of Olives. I would definitely return to the Cozy Garden, and I understood the terms before I booked, but new guests should understand what they will be getting.
