    Billy Rose Art Garden is counted among the finest outdoor sculpture settings of the 20th century. An Oriental landscape combined with an ancient Jerusalem hillside, the garden serves as the backdrop for the Israel Museum’s display of the evolution of the modern western sculptural tradition. Receptions, dinners, performances, and conventions can be held in the Art Garden.

    Highly artistic park created by Isamu Noguchi, Japanese-American sculptor. The work was ordered by Billy Rose, Who often changed Noguchi’s plans. But after so much struggle and much more work, finally the Sculpture Garden was completed. Today’s generation perhaps doesn’t know it’s history, but this is the way life flows. Old things will be forgotten. I quote from the book: “ The Life Of Isamu Noguchi “ page 354-355: “( Katherine) Kuh ( art critic) was less enthusiastic about the garden projects in which Isamu had invested so much energy during the 1960s. The only one she thought successful was the Billy Rose Sculpture Garden in Jerusalem.” end of quote.
