It is with great disappointment that I share my unfortunate experience with Dr. Gideon Bialystok, a medical practitioner located in Ramat Aviv/Tel Aviv. My hope is that this account will serve as a cautionary tale for those considering seeking medical care from him. My journey with Dr. Bialystok began after I developed a severe health condition affecting my throat and neck. Following inadequate diagnosis and treatment from other medical facilities (Beilenson emergency room and clalit/migdal hameah in tel aviv), I was directed to Dr. Bialystok, a private doctor, by a family friend. Regrettably, the care I received from Dr. Bialystok was far from satisfactory and had a lasting negative impact on my well-being. Upon my first visit, Dr. Bialystok diagnosed my condition as pharyngitis and prescribed a course of treatment involving Diseptyl Forte Caplets and Flixotide Inhaler. Although I diligently adhered to the prescribed regimen, the treatment provided only partial relief and failed to fully address the underlying issue. One concerning aspect of Dr. Bialystok's practice is his unconventional "office" setup, which operates out of his personal residence. Despite the unorthodox environment, I was willing to overlook this if it meant receiving proper medical attention. However, the issues I encountered with Dr. Bialystok extended beyond the physical environment. I was taken aback to learn that he exclusively accepted cash payments and provided minimal documentation. A follow-up control test was initially agreed upon to assess the effectiveness of the treatment. This test was essential given the severity of my condition, which involved the presence of highly resistant bacteria in my throat. Unfortunately, Dr. Bialystok's handling of appointments and patient interactions revealed a disconcerting lack of professionalism and commitment to patient care. He consistently postponed the control test, despite the urgency of my situation where every day counts in dealing with resistant bacteria. His disregard for the gravity of the situation became even more apparent when, on the day of a scheduled control appointment, he informed me that he could not see me after I had traveled to his location. His explanation was shockingly callous: "Listen, I cannot help you. Sorry, but there is not a solution for every problem." This response, coupled with his repeated postponements, underlines a lack of empathy, professionalism, and competence. It is deeply troubling that Dr. Bialystok chose to prioritize his own convenience over a patient's urgent medical needs. As a result, I have been left with no choice but to seek proper treatment in the United States for my increasingly severe condition, which has now extended to my chest and neck. In closing, I feel compelled to strongly advise individuals seeking medical care to avoid Dr. Gideon Bialystok at all costs. His dismissive attitude, lack of professionalism, old-age, and inability to provide timely and effective care have caused me significant physical, emotional, and financial distress. This review is intended to serve as a warning and to prevent others from enduring a similar ordeal.
