J.J. Café

On my second visit to J. J. Café, I had hoped for an improved experience, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The allure of the cozy and well-designed space, complete with convenient USB and electric chargers, still remained. However, the main focus, the coffee and cakes, left much to be desired. The chocolate cake, while visually appealing, turned out to be overly sweet and dense, lacking the balance and finesse that one would expect from a coffee shop. The disappointment extended to the coffee itself, which paled in comparison to even the average brew and fell far short of the quality we enjoy at home with Tester's Choice. There was a distinct lack of character and taste in the coffee, leaving us wondering why we were paying premium prices for such a subpar experience. Even when comparing the prices to those of renowned coffee spots on Ibn Gabirol Street in Tel Aviv, where the rent is considerably higher, the disparity becomes evident. J. J. Café's offerings simply do not justify the inflated prices. As a true coffee aficionado, the quality of the brew matters most to me and my guests. We relish the experience of sipping a well-crafted cappuccino, but sadly, that experience was absent at J. J. Café. While the ambiance and design are commendable, they cannot compensate for the lackluster coffee and cakes. Having given the café a second chance, it pains me to admit that the search for a genuine Italian or European-style coffee shop in Kafer Qassim remains elusive. While one may find places catering to Arabic or Turkish coffee enthusiasts, the options for those seeking a top-notch cappuccino experience seem limited. With all due respect, I regret to say that I won't be returning to J. J. Café. When the essence of a coffee shop lies in the brew it serves, no amount of charm or charging stations can make up for its absence. In the pursuit of a satisfying coffee journey, my quest continues elsewhere, hoping to find a true gem that can deliver the rich, delightful essence of European coffee culture.
