Best Jerusalem Tour Guide - Private Israel Day Tours

Shimon was a fantastic tour guide and exploring Jerusalem's Old Town together was one of the highlights of our trip. We really enjoyed learning about regional history and culture on the tour, and visiting an awesome local hummus spot for lunch and a traditional sweets shop for dessert. Shimon even provided us with a host of excellent recommendations for places to explore on our own after the tour to make the most of our time in Jerusalem. Highly recommend working with Shimon!

We are not a family that typically hires tour guides, but we were told by many people that using a guide was a must in Jerusalem. After 5 days in Jerusalem--3 of them with Shimon--we can now agree that using a tour guide is an essential part of the Jerusalem experience--especially for first timers. But Shimon is not your typical tour guide. He kept our entire family (which includes 2 very jaded, always hungry tweens/teens) happy, amused and well-fed. This was quite a feat in over 100 degree weather. Shimon not only knows every tidbit about Israel and Jerusalem, but has a way of storytelling that kept the kids --and the adults--interested and engaged. He also knows the insider places to eat--hidden gems in totally under the radar places. Some of the best food we had on our trip was thanks to Shimon. Shimon was responsive over email/what'sapp through the planning phase and happy to accommodate our last minute requests. After our time together, my entire family calls Shimon not only an amazing tour guide, but also a friend. Thank you Shimon for making our Israel trip so amazing!

5 Star, 5 Star and 5 Star. That just about sums it up for us. Shimon made our trip to Israel one we will never forget. Not only did he show us everything we wanted to see on our trip to the Holy Land but his knowledge of historical events was incredible. The way he crafted the tour took us through, not only a religious pathway of our faith, but a historical journey explaining the evolution and transformation of Israel going back nearly 30,000 years, to its current struggles and success. Having this information and seeing the sites of religious beginnings really helps you understand why the people of Israel feel so connected to their heritage and country. Shimon left no stone unturned. His passion for his country, heritage and work gleamed through each and every day we spent with him. In addition, we always felt extremely safe. Shimon was easy to talk to and accommodating the moment I began to speak with him months before our trip. From our initial conversation on WhatsApp, I knew I had chosen the right person to be out guide. So if your looking for someone to guide your tour, look no further. If you are lucky enough to find Shimon available on the dates you’re in Israel you won’t know until you spend a day with him how lucky you really were.We spent 5 days with him touring Jerusalem, the Dead Sea area, the Golan Heights and the coastline from Akko to Tel Aviv. I was traveling to Israel with two friends. We researched several private guides. We were lucky enough to find Shimon and work with him to create a really amazing tour. We only had two days in Jerusalem and Shimon did an amazing job making sure we didn’t miss anything. Shimon is incredibly responsive and always followed up in a very timely manner.
