Hebrew Truth - Netanel Barak

Netanel Barak is an extremely talented teacher. Immediately getting ones attention and keeping it for the duration of the class and course. He is patient and kind, yet on point at all times. He is punctual, professional and completes every task timeously. He has an in depth knowledge of the languages he teaches, as well as the history of the subject. Of those I have studied with, Netanel stands head and shoulders above the rest.

I have been a pastor for the past 44 years. I became interested in learning the original language of the Hebrew Bible. I was fortunate enough to find Netanel Barak as my teacher. Netanel is extremely knowledgeable, and is meticulous in his approach to teaching, and yet patient with those of us who struggle learning Hebrew. I would highly encourage anyone that wants to deepen their understanding of the Hebrew Bible to sign up with Netanel. Also, I have used Netanel to teach through zoom at my church. He led a study on the Holy Land focusing on the Western Wall. My members found it informative and inspirational. I would commend him to your church as well!

I love Netanel’s teachings. I was a student of his for Biblical Aramaic, and loved his manner of teaching which forces you to think and apply what you are learning. As I have time I also look into his teachings here in Hebrew Truth, to learn the “truth” and not the truth as taught by western teachings.

I enjoy study with Netanel because he is authentic! He teaches us Hebrew tradition and culture as well as how to read and pronounce the language. In studying Biblical Hebrew this has much value as it will aid to your understanding of what was done and the why behind it. He is patient in answering my numerous questions. I love this language and I want to know everything about if I can learn. He assists me greatly with this endeavor. I highly recommend his as a teacher of Hebrew. I have studied with his prevously, I study with him presently, and I expect to study with him in the future. That covers all of the tenses!!!

Netanel is one of the best teachers of Hebrew available. I had him for an advanced Biblical Hebrew class, where we studied the development of the language from archaic times to the post-biblical Dead Sea Scrolls. It was one of the most interesting and enjoyable learning experiences I've ever had. He is a native speaker of modern Hebrew and has an expert knowledge of Biblical Hebrew (i.e. best of both worlds). Netanel gave me the confidence to read through the Hebrew Bible on my own, which I have now done five times. I can't recommend him highly enough.
